JISEAS published its first policy report, "Korean Civil Society's Solidarity with Southeast Asia, focusing on the labor and health sectors" in June 2021.

This policy report is a part of the research outcomes that JISEAS has been conducting: "A Study on Southeast Asia's labor, health, and welfare systems to promote Korea's people-centered New Southern Policy."

JISEAS's research has been supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea as the institution was selected as the winner of the 6-year grant titled, "Institute Programs in Humanities and Social Sciences: Strategic Area Studies" in 2019.
