"Southeast Asia in Taiwan: Observation Report of 2023 Asian Conference for Young Scholars of Southeast Asian Studies"

Abstract

This issue paper reports the 2023 Asian Conference for Young Scholars of Southeast Asian Studies held at the Center for Asia-Pacific Area Studies of Academia Sinica in Taiwan on September 11 and 12, 2023. It also provides some observations related to Southeast Asia in Taiwan including Taiwan’s Southeast Asian policy direction, Southeast Asian research institutes, and migrant workers from Southeast Asia. I hope this paper may interest readers by sharing what I grasped from this trip.
