The “2025 Jeonbuk National University Southeast Asian Language Summer Camp with Busan University of Foreign Studies,” which took place from June 30 to July 11, 2025, has finished.

Held on the Busan University of Foreign Studies campus, the camp offered five beginner-level language courses, including Malay-Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai, Arabic, and Italian.

Fifty-five participants enrolled in this year's camp, including undergraduates, graduates, and researchers from 15 universities: Jeonbuk National University, Busan University of Foreign Studies, Gangneung-Wonju National University, Yonsei University, Seoul National University, Pukyong National University, Korea University, Chungnam National University, the International Language Graduate School, Sejong University, Ewha Womans University, Duksung Womans University, Busan National University, Chosun University, and the Academy of Korean Studies. A total of 48 participants completed the program, for a completion rate of 87.3%.

Since its inception in the summer of 2019, the Southeast Asian Language Camp has had over 700 students and has now reached its 12th session with this summer's camp. We will continue this endeavor to promote public interest in Southeast Asia, improve understanding of the region, and cultivate the next generation of experts in the field.
