CSEAS-KASEAS Joint Conference 2023 was held from May 26-27 in Kyoto, Japan, co-hosted by JISEAS, KASEAS, and Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) Kyoto University. The conference has been a space for scholars in Southeast Asian Studies to exchagne ideas and learn from each other. We resumed the in-person conference after two years of virtural meetings from 2020.       .  

The title of the conference was "Engaging Southeast Asian Studies in an Age of Uncertainties" covering diverse themes including religion, international relations, international development, history, economics and industry, and social media. Dr. Jeon gave a keynote speech on the Asian Solidarity Movement of Korean Civil Society: Observations on 30 Years of Development.
