Congratulations!!!

Dr. Je Seong Jeon, director of JISEAS, was elected as the 17^th President of the Korean Association of Southeast Asian Studies (KASEAS). He is the first president of the organization who held the position through a direct election where all members have the chance to vote. He began the two-year term on March 1st with well-prepared visions and plans to revitalize the KASEAS, including but not limited to enhancing the scholarly contribution to the society and improving the partnership and collaboration between Korea and the countries in ASEAN and organizational restructuring for effective administration.
