JISEAS hosted the fifth Briefing Session of Regional Trend in Southeast Asia with KASEAS on Feb. 1~2 2023 (online). The session covered Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, and ASEAN, presented by experts on each country. They explained what happened in the countries, focusing on social, political, and economic trends and international relations in 2022. It was open to the public and had good turnouts of those interested in the region, not only the scholars and students but also practitioners and citizens. The recorded version of the session will be publicized through youtube soon. Also. the presentations will be produced as articles for the Regional Trend Review, the annual special volume of Southeast Asian Studies published by KASEAS.
