JISEAS published the second book, "Universal Health Coverage in Southeast Asia" edited by Professor Bokyeong Seo.
This book examines the history and the development of the health insurance systems of five Southeast Asian countries, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Singapore. The seven authors of the book particularly pay attention to the dire situation of the low-income class, peasants, informal laborers, migrant workers, and refugees to explore the reasons behind the issue of medical inequality in the region. This research sheds lights on the issues of collaboration and cooperation with various stakeholders to overcome the growing health crisis in the region.
